Bathroom Tiles & Flooring in Norwich

Replacing the flooring is an integral part of any refurbishment project and getting the ‘right’ material for your floor is equally as important as getting the right look. Atlantic can offer the complete range of flooring to suit bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms and can advise on which type of flooring is best suited to your floor structure, given the application you intend to use it for. For instance, where tiles or wood/laminate flooring are requested in a bathroom or en-suite (because they are very easy to clean and live with in this environment compared to carpet) and the existing floor is of wood construction, we would suggest you consider a Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) floor instead. LVT in a bathroom provides the splash protection and easy cleaning attributes of tiles coupled with the fact that it is much warmer on your feet than tiles and who wants cold feet in a bathroom? It is also a flexible material and suits installations on wooden floors because it requires less sub-floor preparation than tiles and will move with the floor. Indeed, if tiles are the preferred choice upstairs, then Atlantic can advise on what additional floor preparation may be needed, in accordance with industry guidelines, and how the addition of electric underfloor heating can provide that extra comfort in the room and keep your feet warm!

On a concrete floor, tiles are a very sensible option as the floor is solid beneath them, they will provide an extremely hard-wearing and beautiful floor covering for any room and they will provide many years of almost maintenance free enjoyment. Floor tiles equate to the equivalent depth of good quality carpet with underlay so they provide a level access from the adjoining rooms and need little additional preparation before laying. LVT can also be laid on a concrete floor following a damp test and the laying of a suitable smoothing screed of latex. Again, underfloor heating can be laid beneath either floor and it is suggested that a bed of heat reflective material is incorporated on a concrete floor to get the maximum benefit from the heating mat. With digital controls, the flooring is on all the time at a given ‘stand by’ temperature and can be programmed to ‘heat up’ during key usage times, such as morning and evening, when the room gets the most use and then drop back the heat output during the day when the room is less likely to be used. This ensures optimum comfort and minimum running costs.

Atlantic offer LVT flooring from the best brands in the business, including Amtico, Karndean and MFlor and offer tiles in ceramic, porcelain and natural stone, marble and granite. With special wetroom flooring such as Altro, vinyl by the sheet, engineered timber and Pergo laminate flooring together with a massive choice of ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, marble and granite tiles for walls and floors, we are sure we can find a suitable and beautiful floor to compliment your Atlantic installation.
